She is not your child. Why do you want custody? You should help her because you love her and she needs help, but dont try to get her on your ebt or get custody of her. If you want a child go get one that does not already have a family or make one your selves. How dare you try to take someone else's child. Just because it seems to you that the only reason they want their daughter is to get food stamps doesnt mean that is the reason. He may not be the best father and she may not be in the best home, but she is still their daughter and not yours. You can help her and teach her good while she is at your house. Just because you take care of her a lot does not give you the right to try to get custody of her or put her on your food stamps. You are not so much better than her own parents. You need to forget about getting custody or getting extra food stamps, or getting money or anything else from her parents. None of that should matter if you really love the girl. Is it really about her well being or is it about something else? If you really need more money to take care of her then go get a part time job or something and stop worrying about what her father is doing.
