What is juggalo??????

My son has recently been dressing up in clown makeup and calling himself a "juggalo" I'm not quite sure what this is supposed to be. Is he like part of some carnival or circus or is he gay or something. I certainly don't want my son to be a damn carnie or a queer. What can I do to get him to quit this?
