What's the easiest way to start potty training?

I'm a first time mom and my son is currently 14 months. I am trying to start potty training with him but I'm not exactly sure how to proceed. I have been teaching him the difference between wet and dry for weeks now and he is starting to get it. But again, I have no clue how to proceed with the actually potty training.
